Future Forest Ecosystems Scientific Council

The Future Forest Ecosystems Scientific Council (FFESC) operated from 2009-2011 to guide the allocation of a $5.5 million grant-in-aid to research that supported the objectives of the Future Forest Ecosystems Initiative (FFEI), namely informed adaptation of BC’s forest and range management framework to climate change. The FFESC was a cooperative council representing the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations (FLNRO), the Ministry of Environment (MoE), the University of British Columbia (UBC), and the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC).
