University of British Columbia
The University of British Columbia (UBC) is a global centre for teaching, learning, and research, consistently ranked among the top 20 public universities in the world and the top three in Canada. Established in 1908 and opened in 1915, its main Vancouver campus lies on the unceded territory of the Musqueam people and is the oldest University campus in Canada. Its sister campus in Kelowna, established in 2005, lies on the unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan Nation. Every year, UBC researches and funds thousands of projects from science and sustainability, to humanitarian causes.
