British Columbia Wildfire Service
The British Columbia Wildfire Service (BCWS) is a service under the Ministry of Forests that handles wildfire suppression through prevention, mitigation, and subduing strategies. Since its formation in 1912, the BCWS has worked with groups and research partners to aid the province in wildfire management and its impacts on the environment and affected communities.
